When catch & releasing your Spinney, "Dream Stream", 11mile, Antero, or Taryall trophy lunker fish 1) take your own digital picture, 2) send it via e-mail to Rob@ChaparralParkGeneralStore.com, & 3) we will post your picture in our online "Photo Gallery". Also when you catch your take home trophy of 20" inches or longer at Spinney , Antero, 11 mile, or Taryall come to Chaparral Park General Store were we will measure, weigh, take your picture, & post it in our online "Photo Gallery" for bragging rights on the world wide web to show your friends & family that your fish story was really true.

Fishing Report: CLOSED for the season. Re-opens in the Spring approximately mid April at ice off. Call the Chaparral Park General Store at: (719) 836-0308 today to get your name and number added on our Spinney Mountain Reservoir State Park Spring 2010 Opening Day call list or send an e-mail to: Rob@ChaparralParkGeneralStore.com to request e-mail notification.

Fishing Report: Good fishing ~ Plenty of action mid morning to early afternoon using hares ears, copper johns, RS2's, and brassies. REMEMBER even the Kokanee Salmon caught in "The Dream Stream" MUST be released alive back into the water if you catch it in the river - ALL FISH MUST BE RETURNED TO THE WATER NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Elevenmile 11 mile Reservoir:

Fishing Report: Great fishing ~ When you find the right hole; coyote ridge, howbert point, and witchers cove have been seeing lots of action and cross creek has been fair. Scuds and hares ears for the fly fishermen and night crawlers, wax worms, small pink jigs, swedish pimples, and small shrimp for the bait fishermen.

Fishing Report: Good fishing ~ Ratsos, ice stoppers, globugs and slammers tipprd with a meal worm or wax worm are sure bets.
